Last month Sutton Ryan Aesthetic Center had a booth at a bridal fair. I created a beauty box of some favorite products for it, but since then I’ve been thinking about a more comprehensive list of things that I would have wanted to do or have before my wedding, had I known years ago what I know now. So with the upcoming wedding season, I wanted to compile a list of my favorite products for Brides, and here is a list of my MUST-haves (in no particular order):
- Clarisonic – A great way to gently exfoliate the skin while cleansing providing even more radiance for your skin!
- Obagi Foaming Gel – My all-time favorite cleanser. If you’re more dry or sensitive a great option for you would be Obagi Gentle Cleanser. You cannot go wrong with these cleansers, and starting your wedding day with a clean canvas is imperative.
- Obagi SunShield SPF 50 – The reasons for why this is on my list are numerous – it does not smell like sunscreen after applied, does not clog pores, and dries to a matte finish which is excellent under makeup. A definite must-have.
- TNS Essential Serum – If you only want to have to remember one product, this is your one. With its growth factors and antioxidants, it helps with fine lines and wrinkles, improves tone and texture and brightens the appearance of your skin. Best results take 90 days of consistent use, so now would be a great time to start if your wedding is planned for this summer!
- Obagi Pro C Eye Brightening Serum – This has recently become one of my most favorite products for under eye brightening. It helps to minimize dark circles, crepiness and crow’s feet around the eyes. We literally cannot keep this in stock for long in our office!
- Tretinoin – Think of this like a mild chemical peel for your face daily. It is applied once a day at bedtime and exfoliates that top layer of dead skin. Over time, it has been proven to decrease lines and wrinkles and helps to fade brown spots. An absolute must-have for skin of all ages to give your skin a beautiful glow for your extra special day.
- Latisse – This made my list because who wouldn’t want lashes that are longer, darker and thicker for their wedding day?! This medication is by prescription only, so feel free to call our office to visit with one of us to see if it is right for you. We LOVE our Latisse and I only wish I would have been using it before my wedding!
While these are all great additions to your pre-wedding skin care routine, we recommend that you start adding to your regimen months in advance to not only get the best benefit, but also to make sure that your skin tolerates each one.
