Mother-daughter team leads Sutton Dermatology + Aesthetics at new, expansive building
Dr. Ryan will be retiring December 2017.
We are so sad to see her go, but excited for her and her new adventures.
Here is her letter to her patients.
After almost thirty-five years of being privileged to care for dermatology patients, I
have decided to retire. Sutton Ryan Dermatology will become Sutton Dermatology and
Aesthetics. The move to a new state of the art facility and the tremendous fortune of
having Dr. Leigh Sutton join the practice will change the appearance of the practice.
I can assure you, however, that the same incredible staff, the same caring providers, and the same level of dedication will continue.
We are attempting to reschedule any appointments you may have with me after the
first of the year so that you can meet instead with Dr. Margaret Sutton, Dr. Leigh Sutton, or one of our other vastly talented physician assistants. I have complete confidence in the skill of all of the providers, and trust their attention to detail.
Unfortunately, it is unlikely these gentle people will yell at you, sigh at you, or coerce you as I have about your sunburns, tanning, and your horrible lack of lotion. Please
be patient with them, and try to keep my cautions in your head.
Honestly, second only to my son, you have been the best part of my life. I have loved doing what I do, because of you.
Robyn G. Ryan, M.D.
We are excited to announce our new Dermatology + Aesthetics clinic is now open at 7100 Stephanie Lane!
A Note from Leigh Sutton, M.D.
To the patients of Sutton Dermatology
Starting in September of 2017, it will be my honor to serve you as a board certified dermatologist with fellowship training in Mohs skin cancer surgery. I have been training for nine years after college. First I attended medical school at University of Nebraska College of Medicine, where I graduated with Distinction. I completed my internship in Denver then onward to dermatology residency at Baylor Scott and White in Temple, Texas for three years. This year I have really enjoyed my fellowship training in Mohs skin cancer surgery at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston. I have learned to address my elders (including my mother) as “Sir” and “Ma’am” but I did not acquire the Texas drawl.
Even though I have spent the last four years training in Texas I am anxious to return to Nebraska where my husband Creighton Bassett and I will be closer to family and friends. Creighton, a Hastings native, has been very supportive of my out of state medical training and I know he is excited to be coming home.
It is my sincere hope that I can continue the tradition of professional and compassionate care that the patients of Sutton Dermatology have received for over thirty years. I am excited to offer additional services such as Mohs skin cancer surgery (please watch for my blog “What is Mohs skin cancer surgery?” ) and to join the rest of the team in our new clinic facility at 56th and Pine Lake Road.
Leigh Sutton, M.D.
We offer two procedures approved for removal of under the chin fat!
Say goodbye to your double chin with our 2 these two procedures!
Kybella® is an injection which is injected directly into the area of fat under the chin. One session consists of multiple injections. It works by destroying the fat cells chemically and then relying on the body to remove the damaged fat cells gradually over time. It can be followed by some redness, swelling, numbness, firmness afterwards, sometimes for days or few weeks. It usually requires 2 to 4 of these sessions spaced apart by at least one month each one.
CoolSculpting® we have had for almost a year now, but we have just received a new applicator that is designed for under the chin and freezes unwanted fat. Coolsculpting® freezes the fat in the area under the chin by using vacuum to suck the tissue into the applicator and then applying cold temperature to destroy the fat cells. It typically requires 2 sessions.
